St. Matthew Council of Catholic Women (CCW)

The St. Matthew Council of Catholic Women brings together the women of our parish in faith, service, and fellowship. The CCW has been active in supporting charitable causes throughout our community, including presenting Christmas donations to Speak Up For Kids and many other outreach efforts.

Children’s Choir

“What do you want of me Lord? Where do you want me to serve you? Where can I sing your praises? I am your song.”

The Children’s Choir is open to children of the Parish who are in 2nd grade or above. These dedicated children meet every Saturday morning from 9 to 10 am in the MCB to practice. The Children’s Choir sings one Sunday per month at the 9 am Children’s Mass. Please come and join us as we “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!” (Psalm 100)

For more information, please call Parish Office the at 561-966-1538.

St. Ann’s Ministry

In 2011, the St. Ann’s Ministry was born out of a desire to serve the needy and homeless. Contact was made with Sister Carleen at St. Ann’s Place in West Palm Beach, and the ministry has continued to grow ever since.

We began by making 200 peanut butter sandwiches monthly, and have now grown to two teams of ladies who make 100 sandwiches weekly, supplemented by homemade cookies. We deliver them every week to West Palm Beach where they are distributed to the needy. We also prepare two hot meals in the MCB kitchen and bring them to St. Ann’s Place twice a year as a special treat.

Collections of washcloths, towels, toiletries, hoodies, blankets, hats, gloves, and undershirts are also taken to St. Ann’s for those in need.

This Ministry is very uplifting to all who give of their time. If you care to help out in any way, please call the Parish office.

Loving Hands

Loving Hands began in November 2010 when twenty women began a joyous charity project knitting and crocheting scarves, hats, and gloves for a poor and needy community in West Virginia. The ministry has grown to include chemo hats, lapghans donated to local nursing homes and hospitals, and baby items donated to Mary’s Shelter in Stuart and the CCW Birthline Baby Shower.

In April 2012, the group began knitting and crocheting prayer shawls. The blessed prayer shawls are given — never sold — to the sick, those celebrating a wedding or new life, academic achievements, those who have lost a loved one, or anyone in need of uplifting prayer. These items are made with deep prayer, love, and concern.

We meet every Tuesday at 10:00 am in the MCB and anyone wishing to join us is welcome.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal organization of Catholic men dedicated to service, charity, unity, and patriotism. Our council supports the parish and community through various service projects and fundraising activities.

For council details and meeting times, please contact the parish office at (561) 966-8878.

Vocations Ministry

The Vocation Ministry was formed at St. Matthew Church to pray for, support, and promote awareness of young men and women considering entering the religious life. The ministry works to establish priestly vocations through a “Vocation Chalice” devotion — a consecrated chalice used to focus on and provide awareness of prayer for vocations throughout the parish community.

If you feel called to religious life or would like to support vocations, please contact the parish office.

Homebound Ministry

Our Homebound Ministry brings the Eucharist and the presence of our parish community to parishioners who are unable to attend Mass due to illness, age, or disability. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion visit homebound parishioners regularly, ensuring they remain connected to our parish family.

To request a visit or to volunteer as a Eucharistic Minister to the homebound, please contact the parish office at (561) 966-8878.

Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry at St. Matthew engages our young parishioners in faith formation, community, and service. Programs are open to teens and young adults seeking to grow in their Catholic faith alongside their peers.

For information about Youth Ministry programs, schedules, and how to get involved, please contact the parish office.
